Bentong

Went back to Bentong with my uncle last Thursday. Got permission to use 7th auntie's camera, so did some photo shooting when I was there. Tried to learn about the effects of different shutter speed and aperture - Some photography jargon that I heard over and over again from Vincent.

My grandpa house number is really weird. It doesn't go according to numeric order along with houses in that street. Our house number is 254 but both out neighbour's house number is neither 255 or 253 or anything near 254. maybe 798 or 364 . I always wonder how does the postmen send letter to our house and why is it so.

This flower is known as Dancing Lady for the shape of its flower which resembles a lady dancing in a yellow dress. The first time I saw this type of flower was during out trip I Sikkim while they were having an International Flower Exhibition.

I was like, "uwah so cool! seriously look like a lady dancing."

Didn't know that popo has them too.

popo also plants a lot of fruits like,
Custard Apple
Pineapple
There's once 4 pineapples combined together as one in one of popo's pineapple tree (do we call them trees?) It was a gigantic one, seriously.
Rambutan which is duper sweet.

Really love going back to Bentong. To see my grandparents or simply just enjoy the quietness and peace in that place.

Reflection time. Dunno why I love taking photos of reflection. Probablye it is simply nice without much skills needed to take those shots.

Primary School gathering

It's been 8 years I left my SRJK(C) Naam Kheung. And 8 years is like, so the LONG! Since each of us went on our own way after leaving the school, only some of us managed to keep in touch with one another.

Until recently Edwin Seah initiated to collect our new contact numbers, update the directory and finally have a reunion.

Still remember the biggest reunion we had before this was in 2002 at my house. Initially it was suppose to be my brithday party which I intended to invite some of my primary school friends along. The planning was very early, hence the news spred to so many people and it turn out to be a reunion party instead. Some didn't even know that it was my birthday. We had a great time catching up with one another.

Then comes another reunion in the month of May this year which I'd missed.

And here comes another gathering in Wong Kok, Leisure Mall:

Kuan Koon
See Hooi and Edwin
Zhi Wei and Pearline
Chooi Yee
Hon Kan
Wye Liong and Shang Yi
Jia Hong and Xiu Pei
Kah Yee
Mei Sia (hope I got the spelling right?!) and Li Mun

Out of 50 in our class (6B) only 15 turn up. But small groups like this good to catch up with one another. I don't think we'll get the chance to talk to everybody if 50 of us were there.

What made the reunion more meaningful was that Chooi Yee brough out class photos and her biodata book (or whatever it is known as) - those days we love doing that especially during finaly year.

Some of us talked about the past, interesting things that happened in the class last time, who got punished by teacher, funny teachers etc, while another side of the table talked about the future, who is getting married, whe is planning to get married etc.

Gathering ended when one person left the place. Like what Kuan Koon said, "It's a chain reaction, one leaves, everybody leaves"

Well, I was in a hurry le... aha!

Nice to catch up with you guys! Let's have another one with our teachers together?!
