Learn to say NO

one cold winter night, there's not much oil left in the lighthouse but just enough for the functioning of the lamp till morning.

suddenly, an old woman from a village nearby came knocking on the door.

"may i have some oil please?" she said "I've ran out of oil at home and i need some to keep myself warm"

the person in the lighthouse told her "but i only have enough oil here to function this light house till morning"

"yeah! i know, but the weather is seriously killing me. would you please..."

he gave in and pack some oil for the lady.

the next day, it was found out that a ship sank and thousands of people died because the ship lost its navigational aid that night.

i know i'm not a good story-teller, nor a fruitella, nor a gardinia (or whatever).

read this story in Developing the Leadership Within You by John Maxwell and the book is not with me, so i had to write it in my own powderful england.

the point is, LEARN TO SAY NO (title)
"you don't need to say YES all the time! if you know you can't do it"

saying no is not easy. seriously. nobody feels good rejecting other people. but one thing is for sure, we have a limit. well at least i do have a limit. i can get tired, i can get exhausted.

priority, one of the big words when you talk about leadership. and John Maxwell put it nicely in that book.

yeap! just a short and sweet sharing.

had a nightmare yesterday. really scary. i woke up and "thank God!"
a personal one, so i'm not gonna share what i dreamed about.

I never liked reading self-help book. I'm just too proud to admit I need help.
