North India Trip - Jodhpur

after Jaisalmer, we went back to Jodhpur by train. Jodhpur, the oh-so-romantic blue city in India. should consider going there for honeymoon.

imagine you're gonna tell your friends, "hey! i'm going for honeymoon"
and they will ask, "where?! paris?! hawaii?! New zealand?!"
"na... India..."
"what?! might as well go readang..."

but trust me! it's one of the most romantic city in the world.

we arrived Jodhpur very late. thank God the motel that we went still served dinner when we reached there at around 12am.

since it was THAT late, they simply cooked the rice, fried it with the leftover fruits they had and served it.

na... this was actually in the menu. it's called Kashmiri Pulao.

i was the first one who ordered it since i (everybody) was having consipation, so when the boss introduced that fruit fried rice thingie, i thought it was a good idea to have some fruits together with rice. it turned out to be very berry nice, so they ordered two more.

everybody was dead tired. and finally, after so many cacated bathroom that we'd encountered throughout the trip, we had a proper looking bathroom to use in the new motel that we went.

the next morning, we started to plan our trip. and all thanks to Elizabeth Hurley, we were restricted to visit every corner of Jodhpur. since she needed to use the palace, the fort and even the musuem for her wedding for three days, everything was closed down for her! terrible!

so we decided to eat omelette the whole day to protest!

this is the o-so-famous-must-eat-because-it-is-highly-recomended shop that we had 24 omelettes altogether. around five eggs per person.

still Eliz Hurley was getting married happily in the palace. so we decided to sit at the stall and browse through all the guestbook that is there.

and we spotted this:
drawn by batch 17 steven and gang.
and so, we also decided to draw one for ourselves.
it turn out to be...

cute! i suppose.
not gonna show it here.

this is the egg uncle who had been selling omelette for 35 years.

basically they serve is, yes, eggs. they come with bread and different flavours like cheese, butter cheese, masala and so on. since we were protesting as i said, we almost tried all the flavours available.

and since eating eggs couldn't stop Eliz Hurley from getting married, we decided to drown ourselves with the o-so-famous-must-drink-because-it-is-highly-recomended lassi (yogurt) which is a stone throw away from the egg shop.

on the way to that shop, i saw this and "OMG! if the cow attack me with that horn, i'd be in London in no time"

here is the lassi. too sweet and too thick. still prefer nandini sweet lassi, or maybe vitagen.

after sweet lassi, we walked around the street, kill our time since Eliz Hurley closed up ALL the tourist attractions. we wanted to go up to the fort badly because it's duper nice seeing the whole of blue city from the fort.

the o-so-majestic fort. Mehrangarh Fort

thanks to options. we were able to find another place to look at the city. it was the lousy palace known as Jaswant Thada that Eliz Hurley spared for us.

awesome view from above. that's the Umaid Bhawan Palace (far left) where Eliz was having her wedding ceremony there at that moment. and that's the palace that we wanted to visit.

not this:

and not this too:

but we could see the blue city view which was really awesome. every thing was blue, including my shirt.

little chipmunk

guess what are these cows doing in the middle of the road?!

after an unproductive day, we went back to our motel, took some sad pictures and left Jodhpur the next morning.

that's the fort behind us.

wish to go back one day. hope there won't be any wedding ceremony going on when i go back. or maybe i can hold my wedding ceremony there? who knows.

coming up next is the Pink City, Jaipur.
